1. How do you add an avatar or photograph by a user name?
 1. Log onto the forum and click on your name at the top of the page where it says 'Logged in as Fred Bloggs'. 2. Then click on avatar. 3. Your profile will then appear and you can edit it, plus add an avatar. You'll find some good images in the library but you can also add your own file or photograph as other members have done. Once uploaded click on the photograph and then click select.

2. How do you add a photograph to a new topic or when replying to a topic?
Easiest way is to cut and paste an image into the forum. Or tick the attach image box near the bottom of the comments page. You can add lots of images this way and they are then shown in a slide show. However, if you have access to web space upload a picture to the internet then click on the picture icon (text box edit menu) and add the url for the image. If you encounter difficulties just send an email and attach your image(s) and PWSTS will place it on the forum for you. Also let us know what topic you would like it added too and what words you want included.

This includes using the forum email and private message system to spam other members. We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature. The PWSTS moderation team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate PWSTS community standards. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice. If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post. Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure this forum is not disrupted or abused in any way. You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal. We also reserve the right to ban anyone who wilfully violates the forum rules, as access to our PWSTS forum is a privilege and not a right. Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.

8. Why should I register?
In order to fully utilize the abilities of this forum, we require that you register as a member. Registration is free, and allows you to do the following: • Post new threads • Reply to other peoples' threads • Edit your posts • Receive email notification of replies to posts and threads you specify • Send private messages to other members To register, you will need to specify a username and password, and a valid email address. Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as you can choose to hide your email address, and messages sent to you via email do not reveal your address to the sender in any case. (To verify this, you can try sending an email message to another user.)

9. How do I add a YouTube video?
When posting a comment click on the movie clip icon (small strip of film). This can be located within the editing menu (font size etc). An additional box should then open. Just cut and paste the YouTube url (web page address) into the box and press OK. You should then see an extra line of text in your comment box. You won’t see the actual YouTube video until you submit the article.

It is your responsibility to keep the information in your profile up-to-date. Just click on your username. You should especially ensure that your email address is kept current. However, if you provide a good reason, you may request that the administrator change your username.

12. Why have some of the words in my post been blanked?
Certain words may have been censored by the administrator. If your posts contain any censored words, they will be blanked-out like this: *****. The same words are censored for all users, and censoring is done by a computer simply searching and replacing words. It is in no way 'intelligent'.

13. The PWSTS is a private forum, so why does it say there are guests online?
ActiveBoard counts a guest visit to our forum anytime a page is loaded by a user who has not logged in. When you first go to the forum, you will be tracked as a guest. After logging in, the system will continue to count a guest for 3-4 minutes before it times out. The PWSTS forum is a private forum but it is still possible to see guests for this reason, and also because the main page is still viewable by the public.
